St Joseph’s Catholic College has had a relatively short history, although a significant one. It is part of a Catholic tradition which extends back two thousand years to Christ, but more immediately it can be linked to the traditions of Mary MacKillop’s Sisters of St Joseph.

Welcome to our website.

An education at St Joseph’s Catholic College empowers young women who are shaped by their relationship with Jesus Christ within the Catholic tradition and inspired by St Mary of the Cross MacKillop and our patron, St Joseph, to make a difference in the world.

Outstanding teachers encourage our students from Year 7 to Year 12 to develop their unique gifts and talents, strive for personal excellence and purpose, and recognise that learning is for life. Learning experiences inside and outside the classroom challenge every student to develop key 21st century learning skills including critical and creative thinking, problem solving and working collaboratively and independently. In this rapidly changing and exciting educational environment, student learning is supported by contemporary pedagogies, and information and communication technologies.

The caring and supportive community of St Joseph’s nurtures confident, resilient and independent young women who act with courage, strength and gentleness in the service of others and in the stewardship of our earth.

Developing student leaders is a fundamental goal of St Joseph’s. We see leadership training as the foundation for achieving change in the world. It is our hope that throughout their lives these contemporary MacKillop women will, in the tradition of St Mary of the Cross, lead with compassion, serve with respect, pray with hope and act justly.
